Proposition: Chapter Name Change
Description: Rename the Rice Belt chapter to Katy - Rice Belt, West Houston - Rice Belt, or similar.
Reasoning:
It allows our chapter to have the location in its name which will help when coaches pick chapters for
Playoff and State games. Katy and Houston are well known and have a reputation of having quality
sports and officiating. A name change will allow the chapter to leverage the location of our chapter
in our marketing efforts.
Ballot Information:
Yes Vote: Approve of allowing the Board to rename the chapter.
No Vote: Deny the Board the ability to rename the chapter.
Note: Chapters may not use the same or similar name of another chapter in their name. All name
changes will be approved by the UIL and TASO.
