Changes to Bid and Offers Submission in Sandbox Effective July 18

On July 18, the IESO will replace the existing Sandbox system to submit bids, offers and schedules into the IESO energy market with the new Energy Market Interface (EMI) Sandbox system. What does this mean? Sandbox User Interface (individual user accounts): As of July 18, users testing the submission of bids, offers and schedules need to use the new Sandbox Energy Market (EMI) interface at https://emisandbox.ieso.ca. Sandbox IDK (API accounts): API accounts need to change the URL to https://apis‐sandbox.ieso.ca (from idksandbox.ieso.ca) and contact IESO Customer Relations to have the 8‐character password reset, if required. Web Services is a new API interface, and the Web Services Sandbox is accessed at https://webservices‐
sandbox.ieso.ca/emim. It shares the same API account as Sandbox IDK. Sandbox Data: In November 2015, the IESO copied the bid, offer and schedule data from the existing Sandbox Database to the new Sandbox Database in support of the market trials. The data transferred in November as well as the data created by participants during market trials will remain in the new database. This notification is being sent to all Primary Contacts, Applicant Representative, Rights Administrators, Users with access to Physical Market Trading, and the MPI/API Replacement working group. 1
