SCARY SH*T Rhiannon Faith present Scary Sh*t, an art/dance/theatre show with attitude, a big heart and a smutty mouth, at Oldham Coliseum Theatre Studio on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 March. Based on real life experiences, Scary Sh*t is a tender, humorous and imaginative treatment of fears, phobias and female friendships, telling the story of Rhiannon Faith and Maddy Morgan’s journey from Scary Sh*t to recovery using dance, poetry, theatre, comedy and above all, fun. Rhiannon and Maddy decided to undertake CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to alleviate their personal paranoias of telephone conversations, fertility problems, failure, career verses motherhood issues and smear tests. Having tackled these issues with TV psychologist Joy Griffiths (This Morning, ITV) they divulge their experiences; to demystify the therapy process, to support the call to bring mental health issues to the fore and to acknowledge the grim reality of many women’s real life experiences. Scary Sh*t is an emotional and sometimes smutty-mouthed show from two sharp minds featuring a bold, brave and moving take on womanhood. You’ll laugh, you may cry, you’ll certainly pay attention as the seemingly mismatched pair display a touching affinity – you’ll even learn what arachibutyrophobia is. “A stunningly vivid and honest portrait of two women’s experiences with mental health” ★★★★★ - Edfringe Review “Searingly honest and genuinely moving” - London Evening Standard Rhiannon Faith the company makes autobiographical shows exposing the sweet, fragile and devastating aspects of human relationships.
