Select eduroam. Click Connect. Enter your user name and password. This may have to be completed more than once. OS X Click on the wireless icon at the upper right hand corner. Select eduroam. Enter your user name and password. This may have to be completed more than once. Red Hat Linux Click on the wireless icon at the upper right hand corner. Select eduroam. Select Authentication type as PEAP. Enter your user name and password. Your username is : <Victoria domain userid>@vuw.ac.nz Your password is your staff domain account password. Select Connect. Select Ignore. You should now be connected to eduroam. Windows XP with Service Pack 2 Click on the wireless icon at the lower right hand corner Click View Wireless Networks Click eduroam. Click Connect. Let the connection fail. This will create a configuration in Windows XP with eduroam’s settings. Reenter View Wireless Networks. Click on eduroam. On the left, Click on Change advanced settings. At the top of the window, select the Wireless Networks tab. Select eduroam and click Properties. Select Authentication. Select the drop down arrow next to “Smart Card or other Certificate” Select “PEAP”. Deselect “Authenticate as computer when computer information is available” Select Properties. Under Select Authentication Method, select Configure. Uncheck “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password”. Click “Ok” for this window and all prior windows. Click on the wireless icon at the lower right hand corner. Click eduroam. Click Connect. Click the flowing popup window. Enter your user name and password. Your username is : <Victoria domain userid>@vuw.ac.nz Your password is your staff domain account password. Click “OK”. Click the following popup window. Click “Ok” on the following window. You should now be connected to eduroam. Windows Mobile Click Start – Click settings Click connections – Click wifi – turn on wifi – Click wireless networks Click eduroam Click Next – at configure network authentication – Click Next - at PEAP Click Finish. At Configure wireless networks - Click eduroam then Click connect Enter your user name and password. Your username is : <Victoria domain userid>@vuw.ac.nz Your password is your staff domain account password. Click “OK”. You should now be connected to eduroam. Apple iPhone/iPad Click on the settings icon. Under settings click Wi-Fi > and choose eduroam Enter your user name and password. Your username is : <Victoria domain userid>@vuw.ac.nz Your password is your staff domain account password. A client authentication window will display. Click Accept.
