2016 Virginia Law Enforcement Torch Run Routes
Region 11: Southwest
Each summer, law enforcement officials from across Virginia carry the Flame of Hope on a 1,900
journey to the Special Olympics Virginia Summer Games Opening Ceremony in Richmond. This 8day Torch Run involves more than 2,000 law enforcement officers and personnel representing more
than 200 law enforcement agencies across Virginia.
In Southwest VA (Region 11) Torch Run Routes starting in Bristol and going through Smythe
Co. line, Marion City Limits, Wythe County line, Saltville, Independence, Galax, Hillsville, and
ends in Pulaski/Montgomery Co Line
