Join us for a great afternoon concert with the
Jump ‘n’ Jive Swing Band. The members of this

band all donate their time and the funds they
collect go to provide “student” instruments for
worthy but less fortunate middle and high school
students. They play all different types of music, from big band to
smooth jazz. No need to get up and dance, just enjoy the music…
but if you feel the groove you can join us for a swing!

The Great Flood of 1913

The great flood of 1913 was the worst weather
disaster to strike Butler County. Damages topped
$10 million in 1913 values, or about $167 in
today’s figures. By the time the Great Miami River crested in
Hamilton at 34.6 feet, more than 10,000 people were homeless and
over 400 deaths reported.

yourselves against your friends and other members in our first
ever Quiz Bowl. Teams of 2 will be going against each other in
Jeopardy style trivia, and questions will be all areas, spanning
from history to music, art, etc. You don’t want to miss out on
this event as we will be having some pretty awesome prizes
for all involved! The winners each get a $20 certificate for
a Trips & Travel event. The team will also get a $50 gift card

Dr. Alice Howland (Julianne Moore) is a renowned linguistics
professor at Columbia University. When words begin to
escape her and she starts becoming lost on her daily jogs,
Alice must come face-to-face with a devastating diagnosis:
early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. As the once-vibrant woman
struggles to hang on to her sense of self for as long as
possible, Alice’s three grown children must watch helplessly
as their mother disappears more and more with each
passing day. Popcorn will be provided during the movie. We
will have a table reserved at The Coach House at 11:30 for
anyone who wants lunch beforehand.

Mindfulness is a mental practice that has become increasingly
popular in today’s health sphere. It is all about learning to
be present and fully aware of what you are experiencing in
the moment. Join Health Promotion Specialist, Jessa Inman
as she will explore what it means to be mindful, how it
relates to exercise, and gives a short demonstration of some
mindfulness techniques that can be used while exercising, or
throughout the day! Please make sure to sign up!
