Additional information to supplier meetings
The Signalling Programme has received some questions regarding the material
for the supplier meeting. Below follows the questions and answers. The questions and answers have also been published on the Signalling Programme’s
website.
Question number 1
Under 4.3.12 Information about existing systems, BDK have stated "The Signalling Programme has prepared an example of the documentation that can be
provided and the suppliers are asked to assess whether this is sufficient."
Please could you confirm that the information as detailed in the above statement is the information as detailed on your website or is there other examples
that we should be made aware of?
Answer
We are sorry to inform you that we have made an error in our memo. Originally we planned to prepare an example, but we had to recognize that time probably does not permit this and the sentence should have been deleted in the
memo. If contrary to our expectations we should manage to prepare an example before the supplier meetings we will publish it on our homepage and send
you an e-mail.
Under 4.3.2 What is the content of the ideal tender material?, BDK have stated
"It should be noted that the Signalling Programme intends to base the tender
materials and the contracts on the Danish contract paradigm K02 applying the
necessary adjustments."

Question number 2
Please could you forward a copy of this K02 contract for our review?
Answer
The K02 contract and its appendices can be found at http://www.itst.dk/itstyring/standardkontrakter/k02-standardkontrakt-for-lengerevarende-itprojekter (at the bottom of the page under the headline “Oversættelse af K02 til
engelsk”.
Question number 3
Under 4.2.4
Architecture ,
BDK have
asked the
suppliers to provide
Please could you provide detailed track plans for both the S-Bane and fjernbane networks? If it is at all possible we would like to obtain the following information:Inter-station distances
Speed limits
Gradient of the track
Answer
We can provide you with detailed track plans for both the S-bane and the fjernbane
but it would be a vast number of plans and it would take us some time to provide. As
an alternative we attach information about one of our line sections (each line section is
called TIBx, where x is a number identifying the line). If this provides you with sufficient information we can produce similar information for the whole of the S-bane and
the fjernbane. (see attachment) The Signalling Programme is at the moment describing all processess for operating trains. The processesdescribes the future
world of operating trains and not how it is done today. The works is estimated
to be completed at the end of 2009. There are two purposes of describing the
processes:
1) They are used for identifying all relevant operational rules
2) They are used as an important part of the requirements specification
This will be elaborated with a short presentation at the meeting.

Question number 4
Under 3.2 Supplier participation, BDK is planning to split the meeting into
two session - one technical and commercial.
Please could you indicate who will be present from BDK at each of the session
and which subject topic will be covered by each of these sessions?
Answer
The Signalling Programme will be represented by several persons among including the Programme Director (will participate in relevant parts of the meeting), Project Manager Esther Holmen, Discipline Manager Jens Holst Møller,
Programme Coordinator Anette Zobbe.
Also we have invited a representative from the largest TOC in Denmark, DSB
as an observer. Most likely they will only participate in some of the meetings.
We are planning to conduct the day as follows:
An introduction from Banedanmark for everyone. If you wish to include some
topics in this session you are welcome to do so.
Two parallel sessions
One dealing with topics regarding procurement, commercial and project management
One dealing with topics regarding implementation and migration, tender specification, risk and safety approval
Ending the day together where Banedanmark will briefly summarize – and you
are of course also welcome to include your comments at this time
You are free to make a more structure plan for the parallel sessions as long as
we keep it in two parallel sessions.

New version of the note Supplier meetings regarding the preparation of
signalling system tenders” dated 22.04.09
The Signalling Programme has found some errors in the note “Supplier meetings regarding the preparation of signalling system tenders” dated 22.04.09. A
new version is attached this email and can also be found on the website. The
corrections are the following:
Section 4.3.5: The last part of the second bullet should have been devided into
two separate bullets entitled ”Preparation of Trains after Splitting” and ”A concept for shunting”
Section 4.3.9: There is a blank separation line missing before ”Supplier action:
…”
Section 4.3.12: The sentence”The Signalling Programme has prepared an example of the documentation that can be provided and the suppliers are asked to
assess whether this is sufficient” should have been erased.
Section 4.5.2: The last sentence is incorrect it should be “The Signalling Programme is considering inviting the suppliers to do some of their work from
Banehuset as well and thus setting aside some space in Banehuset for this purpose”
Apart from the elaboration regarding the agenda above, The Signalling Programme would appreciate a detailed agenda from the supplier in order to insure
the participation of the right people.
