The purpose of the course
is to achieve theoretical
knowledge and practical
skills to properly execute a
diagnostic wax-up or set-up
in patients with a IInd dental
class.
The theoric part (20%) and
the hands-on (80%) will be
intentionally balanced, giving
to this educational program
the features of a practical
course.
The topics are: fundamentals of IInd class occlusion, functional planes and points,
passive and active centric lines, sequencial canine guidance concept according Prof.
Slavicek. Furthermore, a consistent part is dedicated to the following topics:
articulator and occlusal plane setting upon the individual data obtained by the jaw
trackings; functioning patterns of the incisal guidance table.
The lecturers will explain principles of wax-up technique (based on a certified
educational method), their scientific background and the importance of a deep
knowledge of the dinamic relations involved.

Max number of partecipants: 14
To each partecipant will be provided:
– split-cast with already prosthetically prepared removable teeth
– fully adjustable articulator (Reference SL)
– occlusal table
– program set (for sagittal and transversal condylar inclination setting)
– sequential incisal table set
– modeling Wax
The partecipant should bring 1medical gown and 1waxing instruments kit, according to his own
personal preference (manual instruments, bunsen and/or electric waxer). If needed, some
additional electric waxers will be provided by the organization for free.
