HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR A CHARGE UP L.A.! REBATE?
FOR COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS:
• You must be an LADWP commercial customer.
• You must install a qualified hardwired Level 2 charger(s)
by a licensed contractor.
• You must install an LADWP-approved meter socket for a
revenue or non-billing statistical meter.
FOR RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS:
• You must be an LADWP residential customer or live in the same household as an LADWP customer.
• The charger must be wall or pedestal mounted at a
residence located within the LADWP service area with a
qualifying EV registered to the same address.

• Purchase or lease a new or used electric vehicle and
install a qualified Level 2 (240-volt) charger with the SAE J1772 charging plug.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE REBATE?
• Purchase or lease a new or used electric vehicle
(residential customers only).
• Install the Level 2 (240-volt) EV charger(s) per the terms
and conditions of the commercial or residential rebate
program.
• Download the appropriate rebate application from our
website: www.ladwp.com/ev. You may also call 1-866-484-0433
and have an application mailed to you.
• Complete and mail the application and supporting
information to:

LADWP offers the Electric Vehicle (EV)
Charger Rebate Program, “Charge Up L.A.!”
to encourage our customers to “drive
electric,” and to support EV charging
infrastructure throughout the city.
FOR BUSINESS CUSTOMERS:
Charge Up at Work and on the Go
To foster EV charging infrastructure throughout
Los Angeles, LADWP offers a Commercial EV Charger
Rebate: Commercial and multi-residential customers
can receive up to $4,000 for each hardwired EV charger
purchased and installed.
Chargers which have more than one connector are
eligible to receive an additional incentive of up to $750
per port.
Commercial customers must have at least three
parking spaces available to employees, tenants and
the public to qualify for one charger rebate. One
additional Level 2 rebate is available for each additional
10 parking spaces at the same location, business or
property.
A maximum of 20 EV charger rebates are available per
business location or multi-residential property.
FOR RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS:
Charge Up at Home
LADWP wants our residential customers to get
charged up about driving electric vehicles by making it
affordable to get your house EV-ready.
HOME EV CHARGER REBATE: Receive up to $500 for
a qualified Level 2 (240-volt) EV charger. The rebate
is usually enough to cover the entire cost of a Level 2
charger!
BONUS $250 CREDIT: Receive a one-time $250 bonus
when you install a separate time-of-use (TOU) meter
dedicated to your EV.
EV DISCOUNT RATE: To receive the EV discount of 2.5 cents per kilowatt-hour off the base TOU rate, you
will need to contact LADWP to install a dedicated EV
TOU meter for your charger.
