world and the centerpiece of the gulf region’s most
prestigious urban development to date.

Solution
Dubai tower is an all-encompassing development,
containing residential and commercial districts, a hotel,
an entertainment district, and the largest shopping mall
in the world. The nearby old town , with its intimate
streets and architectural detail , will create a special
ambiance with the mystery of Arabia of yesteryear and
will feature a variety of restaurants, coffee houses ,
parlors , and gardens .The Burj Dubai Stands upon a base
of 1sq.km , and has estimated height of 705 m ( the true
value is a jealously guarded secret )
Results
The development of the Burj Dubai Tower will cost an
estimated US $20 billion. Construction was initiated in
April 2003, and is slated to be completed by December
2008.

For this groundbreaking project , Trane
provided 14 Duplex & 6 simplex CenTraVac
water cool liquid chillers for ice producing
capabilities , making the complex one of the
first in Dubai with an ice storage facility . The
chillers were extensively tested in the factory
with the client, to demonstrate the quoted
capacities & efficiencies.This facility also
contains a tube cleaning system to once again
provide efficiency for the customer.
Designed to be rugged and simple, yet
amazingly quiet, the CenTraVac is directly
driven, in low speed, by a motor shaft that is
supported by two aircraft – turbine rated
bearings. The design includes industrial-grade
components and only one moving part.
Likewise, the design purposely excludes speed
– increasing gears and light weight parts that,
while accessible, have a higher failure rate.
This Product has the highest energy efficiency
and lowest leak rate in the industry due to the
use of a low pressure refrigerant DuPont calls
SUVA-123. This refrigerant has the lowest
direct effect global warming potential and the
highest thermodynamic efficiency of all
non-CFC refrigerants. In addition, CenTraVac
chiller control includes feed forward algorithms
that dramatically shorten chiller response time
for energy – saving variable pumping
