My Time
When the angel of death
Shall lay her hand on me
or touch my arm,
I shall not flinch or fight.
I shall listen to her say,
"Come, come with me to a
new adventure through
the portals which all men
must pass." I can only
live my life so that when
her call does come, I
can say, "I am ready, I will go."
May no one mourn my passing
but only say,
"I knew him.
He was a good and honest man."

Musical Selections
So live that when thy summons comes to join
That innumerable caravan which moves.
Toward that mysterious realm
Where each shall take his chamber in the silent
halls of death,
Thou go not like a galley slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon,
But, sustained and soothed by an unfaltering trust,
Like one who wraps the drapery of his
couch about him,
And lies down to pleasant dreams.
