Welcome to our Spring and
Summer Season brochure
Following an incredible first season at the Bridge
House Theatre and Warwick Hall, we have lined up a
diverse, engaging and dynamic programme for
Spring & Summer 2017.
2017 kicks off with a very special homecoming
concert from James TW on 6th January. James
grew up in Barford and attended Warwick School
prior to starting his professional career and it is a
great pleasure to see him return to Warwick.
Our continued commitment to exciting new theatre continues with our new season of touring performances. On 25th January, we host Blackeyed Theatre’s
Frankenstein – a brand new adaptation of Mary
Shelley’s Gothic horror masterpiece fusing ensemble storytelling, live music, puppetry and stunning
theatricality. Following this is the Edinburgh Fringe
Festival smash hit, Police Cops by The Pretend Men on 1st February. Be ready for a comedy blockbuster that
delivers an action packed hour of adrenaline fueled physical comedy, cinematic style and uncompromising
facial hair!
On 17th March, we have Zest Theatre’s Thrive. This exciting production for young
people uses humour, movement and spoken word to beautifully portray the most
challenging of emotions with courage and optimism. On 6th April, we are very
proud to present Vamos Theatre’s incredible show The Best Thing. This
production, from UK’s leading full mask theatre company is a swinging sixties story
of unconditional love that is equally accessible to hearing and deaf audiences.
Open Sky Productions bring their harrowing and very human show Scorched to
the Bridge House Theatre for 2 nights on 3rd & 4th May. Using new writing, visual
physical theatre, period music and an innovative set, Scorchced captures the
horror of war and the disorientation of dementia. The final professional touring
show of the season on 8th June is a riotous and playful reinvention of Macbeth
from 6FootStories that puts the witches at the centre of this dark and bloody
tragedy.

James TW
Warwick Hall welcomes James for
a special homecoming concert.
Recently signed to iconic label Island Records as one of the youngest artists on their
roster, James has managed to develop a wholly unique sound and lyrics that capture
real, relatable emotion.
JANUARY
James grew up in Barford and attended Warwick School prior to starting his
professional career.
Naturally gifted, he picked up guitar when he was 12 years old and began playing
piano the following year. As James honed his skills as a multi-instrumentalist, he
began to post cover songs on YouTube. His videos showcase an undeniable talent
with immense technical aptitude and a voracious will to learn.
James’ discipline has clearly paid off, resulting in a distinct blues and jazz-infused
singer-songwriter sound that recalls John Mayer and Jamie Cullum, two of James’
influences. He is equally capable of delivering ballads reminiscent of Ed Sheeran’s
work, another artist who has had an impact on his music.

language novels 1923-2005. It also featured at number 31 on the Modern Library

Unisex baby changing facilities are provided. In the foyer area we regularly have children’s activities
and resources themed to the performance that day.

Free parking is available on the school site. Enter the site from Myton Road and follow the road past the
theatre. Parking is located on the right hand side opposite the theatre, signposted as ‘Visitors Car Park’.
Additional parking can also be found behind the theatre. Please note that this can become busy when we
present multiple events. Pay and display parking is located across the road in St Nicholas Park, a short
walk away. There is also a drop off point in front of the Bridge House Theatre.
Public Transport
Local buses from Warwick and Leamington Spa pass the site and stop on Myton Road, adjacent to the
theatre. The nearest train station is Warwick Station – a twenty minute walk from the theatre. Leamington
