The plum‐sized fruit grows on a small leafy bush that has a strong lemon scent. Though its taste is sour, bitter and astringent and it’s quite fibrous. Indian Gooseberry (Amla) is known to be rich in Vitamin C and full of powerful antioxidants and believed to have various health benefits.
