park newport view MAY 2010 ADMINISTRATOR’S COMMENTS We are midway through our Club House renovation schedule and have appreciated your patience and interest thus far. I’m happy to report that work is proceeding according to plan and that our targeted goal for completion of the project remains mid-June. We will continue to post regular updates in both the newsletter and notifications delivered to your front door and/or building lobby. The updated fitness center, with it’s added space, new equipment and floor-to-ceiling views of the pool area will put a smile on your face when complete. You’ll also appreciate the contemporary coastal elegance of our new and improved Main Lounge, with its mile-wide views of the Back Bay, and updated library. Tired of taking the stairs? A new elevator will deliver you from street level to pool level in just a few seconds. If you are new to Park Newport or simply wondering what’s new in the neighborhood, we began the current phase of construction on March 1st by relocating Club operations to the Bay View Room in the upper northeast wing of the building. At that time, we closed access to the structure through the traditional front entry and began asking Park Newport residents to enter via the Bay View pedestrian ramp, which faces the driveway approximately halfway between the main entrance and east end of the Club House at street level. It’s been working out beautifully thanks to your patience and a bit of imaginative thinking. Please remember, access to the pool area and temporary fitness facilities is limited to the north gate at pool level. The pool area is open for your enjoyment daily and closes nightly at 10pm, and midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. Thank you in advance for observing our “No Alcohol” policy in the pool area. Check out our activities schedule in this edition of our community newsletter and remember our movie and game nights in the Catalina and Balboa Rooms. Please note: the Park Newport Shuttle is operating per its normal schedule. Pickups and drop offs are in front of the Catalina Room until the Clubhouse renovation is complete. Please feel free to contact your Club team directly at (949) 644-4664 with questions. As you know, we are working hard to keep your surroundings and amenities distinctive and fresh and appreciate your patience during the transformation. Please let us know how we may continue to keep your frustrations minimal and accept our thanks in advance for your understanding.
