NY 376-6442 No job too large or too small The New Bremen Fish and Game Club's second annual Ladies' Shoot was held June 5. As you would guess, the gals get to shoot at whatever strikes their fancy all day long and I get to burn the burgers. Had plenty of spare time to take pictures, since I wasn't allowed to pop a cap. However, I spent the whole day doing my best lost puppy impression,- and by the end of the day after the girls had their fill of shooting my wife took pity on me and allowed me to get off a few rounds late in the afternoon. Actually I did not mind all that much, as I was busy helping coach both of my nieces, who arjfairly new shooters, and spent mph of my time making sure they Indled the firearms safely. As you v[l see from the accompanying jiotos, their mothers and my coachis paid off. They did some pretty Ipressive shooting! j My wife, Dori, is he" own worst critic and certainly nds no coaching from me, or anyon else, for'that matter. My sister is Bving nerve damage problems wh her shoulder and hasn't done muH else other than to do a half gain' into the pain killer bottle after wtk and my wife has been working dot of overtime so neither one d as much time to get out the ajrertising for the shoot they wouj have liked, Still, we had onemore shooter than last year. ( smoke curled around the ball as it passed by the cards, and she wasn't missing by much. Yvonne is a relatively new shooter and hasn't had the practice that Dori gets in, either. Give her some time. She will be cutting the things in two shortly. Catie and Anna got into the act with my .22 rifle and they both cut cards from around ten yards from a rest. My feeble excuses about shooting the .44 mag. pistol better than a .22 is not carrying much weight at this point. And I am not about to try cutting cards with a .22, either! If I do it, so what? And if I can't do it, I will NEVER hear the end of it! No thanks. I'll pass. at first, too.
