Block Cheese Ben E. Keith Foods announces two new Golden Harvest Cheese items: Golden Harvest Mild Cheddar Milled Curd Block Cheese and Golden Harvest Monterey Jack Block Cheese Golden Harvest Mild Cheddar Milled Curd Block Cheese is made the traditional way, with no short cuts. Fresh milk is mixed with cultures and rennet to form curds which are heated and drained. The drained curds are then milled into smaller pieces that allow the cheese to knit together more closely, which creates a more homogenous body to the cheese as the curds are pressed. Any way you choose to use cheddar, Golden Harvest Mild Cheddar Milled Curd Block Cheese contains a firmer body resulting in better looking cubes, slices, and shreds. Golden Harvest Monterey Jack is a semi-soft cheese made from fresh cow’s milk. Our Monterey Jack Cheese, is a smooth, evenly colored cheese with no signs of cracking or discoloration. It offers a delicate buttery flavor and its gooey-whenmelted texture makes it an excellent cheese for slicing, snacking, or melting on Mexican dishes. 740090 – 1/40 Lb. Avg.
