The Merit Badge Clean Up Clinic is an OPEN HOUSE layout. Counselors will be
stationed throughout the building to review the work you have done on your Merit
Badge. Each Counselor Station is a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED format. This
means each Scout can visit as many Counselors as possible within the time frame
of the Clinic. This also means that you do not have to be there when doors open.
Example: Scout has only two badges to check and a baseball game at 8am. The
Scout can come at 10am, after the game, and still check in for those badges. The
Scout may have to wait in line, depending on the badge. This also means if a Scout
comes at 8am and is finished by 10am, they can leave.
REGISTRATION:
Registration is a 2-Stage process. The first step is to the register the Scout online
through the Council website and then pay the fee. The second step is that each
registered Scout MUST contact each MB Counselor on the attached list for every
badge they plan on bringing a blue card for to the Clean Up Clinic. IMPORTANT:
The only way to know what the prerequisites are for each badge is to contact the
listed Counselor in this packet.

KEY INFORMATION:
If Scouts come unprepared AND do not call the Counselor below in advance
as required, they will not receive a signature on their blue card. This includes
having their Scout Master’s signature on their blue card!
Merit Badge Counselors are available to help with the completion of each
Merit Badge. They are not teaching the Merit Badge so Scouts must come
ready to get the Merit Badge passed.
Scouts must bring their Merit Badge Book, worksheets, projects, etc. and
anything else they need to have their blue card signed off on.
Walk-ins are welcome, but if the Scout did not call the Counselor(s) in
advance and has not completed the prerequisites, the Counselor(s) will not
sign off a completed blue card.
If your merit badge requires or if you chose to visit, work, or volunteer with an
organization, please have that organization give you a note on their letter
head the date you visited and with whom you met. You can use this to show
your counselor to achieve FULL credit for that particular merit badge. Visual
documentation of your Visit is also acceptable.
