Lasting wood made from ceramics
Wood and earth: Natural products have their own
magic. Wooden floorings have a pleasant, organic
feel but on terraces in particular, earth turned into
frost-proof extruded ceramics is far superior in
terms of longevity, easy of maintenance and safety.
In outdoor areas, really long-lasting wood is made of
extruded clay.
Moisture and UV radiation: outdoors is a real challenge for
wood. When the untreated product is exposed to direct sunlight
and rain, it fades, turns grey and starts to rot. Wood provides a
perfect habitat for algae and moss. And at the end of the day,
there is only one thing that will help in the event of fungal
infection or stubborn grease stains, and that is chemical
treatment.

Lodge: mineral working product –
frost-proof, extruded and broached
Dillenburg-based ceramic producers STRÖHER have now brought
out a new flooring which is a mineral working product which
combines the unique advantages of extruded ceramics for outdoor
use with an R 10 non-slip finish and an organic grained wooden
finish. No impregnating, no hydrophobicity, no chemical algae or
moss killers, no tough detergents: which makes it eco-friendly.
Broached, but not squared: in the new 12 x 48 cm block format
with naturally chamfered edges, Lodge is completely in trend. The
broached finish with parallel rib-cut grooves increases non-slip
properties, making it a real highlight both indoors and out.
