4th Labyrinth started life as a group of musicians who became friends, long before the name
appeared. They create an energy that is hard
to find in this world of manufactured bands
and artificial stardom. You‘ll find their music
somewhere between Queen, ELO, The Beatles,
Radiohead and The Foo Fighters.
A sound that goes back to basics, a bit like it
used to be-but then again-not really...
Things don‘t always have to be reinvented.
If you hear a familiar sound, it‘s not because
somebody said it sells, but because it sounds
good. The band believes, selling records
should be a result of but never the reason for
making music. A melody, a message and sweet
harmonies is all it takes. It‘s right when it‘s
beautiful, and beautiful it has to be!

Marcel Kunkel (vox/keys) started playing the
piano at the age of six and began singing in
his early teens. Marcel has vast experience in
almost anything that involves creating a
record. He has worked for many years as a
professional live sound engineer working in
almost every genre. Now he takes the stage
himself to see it all from the other side.
John Harper (guitar/vox) has seen and experienced things that other guys in their midtwenties only dream of. That‘s what you hear
when he plays the guitar. Mixing his influence
into the sound of the band is what makes 4th
Labyrinth rock or weep but, more importantly,
it always makes it true.
Claudia McKenzie (bass/vox) is one of the
most sought after bassists in the Cambridge
area. Her energetic and mesmerising stage
presence never overshadows her amazing
skills on the bass guitar. Claudia has also
played on a number of records for others in all
kinds of musical projects.
Tom Winch (drums) is a well established musician on the Cambridge music scene. Originally
starting with piano from a young age he discovered the drums later in life. With the distinct advantage of being able to read score and
already speaking the language of music, he
soon mastered the new instrument to the point
of teaching others. Together with Claudia he
provides the solid rhythmic backbone of 4th
Labyrinth.
