That’s why it’s important to make sure that the food you eat – especially chicken – is carried, stored, handled and cooked properly; so that no one gets ill from a nasty bug called ‘campylobacter’. Campylobacter can often be found in raw chicken and chicken that is not cooked thoroughly. You can’t see, smell or even taste it, but it can make you very sick with food poisoning.
