Carol Of The Bells - Lakewood City Schools

Carol of the Bells
Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say throw cares away.
Christmas is here, bringing good cheer, to young and old, meek and the bold.
Ding dong ding dong. That is their song. With joyful ring all caroling.
One seems to hear words of good cheer from everywhere filling the air.
Oh, how they pound raising their sound, o’er hill and dale, telling their tale.
Gaily they ring while people sing songs of good cheer “Christmas is here.”
“Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas.”
“Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas.”
On, on the send, on without end, their joyful tone to every home.
Ding - - dong ding - - dong.
White Christmas
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know.
Where the tree-tops glisten and children listen
To hear sleighbells in the snow.
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, with every Christmas card I write.
May your days be merry and bright.
And may all your Christmases be white

Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer – 1/12-6
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen,
But do you recall – the most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose,
And if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say,
“Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”
Then how the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee:
“Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer, you’ll go down in his – to – ry!”

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree – 5/17-12
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop.
Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop.
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree let the Christmas spirit ring.
Later we’ll have some pumpkin pie and we’ll do some caroling.
B
You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear
Voices singing “Let’s be jolly, deck the halls with boughs of holly.”
A
Rockin’ around the Christmas tree, have a happy holiday.
Everyone dancing merrily in the new old fashioned way.
Night of Silence/Silent Night
Cold are the people, winter of life,
We tremble in shadows this cold endless night.
Frozen in the snow lie roses sleeping.
Flowers that will echo the sunrise.
Fire of hope is our only warmth,
Weary, it’s flame will be dying soon.
Silent night. Holy night.
All is calm. All is bright.
‘Round yon virgin, mother and child,
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silver Bells
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks, dressed in holiday style.
In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas.
Children laughin, people passing, greeting smile after smile.
And on every street corner you hear.
Silver Bells. Silver Bells. It’s Christmas time in the city.
Ring-a-ling. Hear them ring. Soon it will be Christmas day.
Rows of street lights, even stop lights blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures.
Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch, this is Santa’s big scene.
And above all the bustle you’ll hear. Silver Bells…….
Here We Come a-Caroling
Here we come a-caroling among the leaves so green.
Here we come a-wandering so fair to be seen.
Love and joy come to you, and to all your family, too.
And God bless you and send you a happy new year.
And God send you a happy new year!
We are not daily beggars that beg from door to door.
But we are neighbor’s children whom you have seen before.
Love and joy come to you, and to all your family, too.
And God bless you and send you a happy new year.
And God send you a happy new year!
We Wish You a Merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas, we wish you a merry Christmas,

Frosty the Snowman
Frosty, the snowman, is a jolly, happy soul.
With a corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty, the snowman, is a fairy tale, they say.
He was made of snow, but the children know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head, he began to dance around.
Oh, Frosty, the snowman, was alive as he could be.
And the children say he could laugh and play, just the same as you and me.
Frosty, the snowman, knew the sun was hot that day.
So he said, “Let’s run and we’ll have some fun, now before I melt away.”
Down to the village with a broom stick in his hand.
Running here and there, all around the square saying, “Catch me, if you can!”
4
He led them down the streets of town right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler, “Stop!”
Oh, Frosty, the snowman, had to hurry on his way.
But he waved good bye saying, “Don’t you cry, I’ll be back again some day!”
Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpity, thump, thump, thumpity, thump, thump,
Over the hills of snow.
