Christmas Food Basket & Gift Drive 2016
Share the spirit of the holiday season by bringing joy to a local senior citizen, individual
or family!
5 ways that YOU can be involved locally this season:
Assemble a Christmas Food basket using the list below and drop off on December 17th.
Assemble a Food basket and donate a $20 grocery gift card for the purchase of meat (preferably to
Shopper’s or Food Lion, as those stores are the closest to LCAC’s clients) and drop off on December 17th. If you
are dropping off your basket at INOVA Healthplex, please put your gift card in the locked drop box.
Mail to LCAC or drop off on December 17th a $20 grocery gift card to Shopper’s or Food Lion.
Fulfill a child’s gift wish! Go to LortonAction.org and click on our Signup Genius link to “adopt” a child
or teen.
Volunteer your time December 16th - 23rd! To sign up, visit LortonAction.org and click on “Volunteer.”
Christmas Food Basket Contents
 2 cans each: green beans, peas, corn(low sodium if possible)
 1 pound bag of rice
 2 cans of fruit
 1 6 oz. box of stuffing (no bags)
 1 bottle of Canola oil
 1 brownie mix or cake mix with frosting
 2 boxes of pasta and 1 container of pasta sauce (no glass)
 1 large box of cereal – 18 oz. or larger
 3 – 10 ¾ oz. cans of soup (no broth)

Please pack the Christmas food
contents into a medium size moving
box. Please keep the gift card separate!

would like to do this.**
