2014 Neighborhood Impact Report

2014 Neighborhood Impact Report
We are passionate about helping people one neighborhood at a time.
TO OUR NEIGHBORS:
Dunkin’ Brands is passionate about
helping people – one neighborhood at
a time. We’re a global company, yet we
remain rooted in the belief that charitable
giving begins at home, in the communities,
es,
cities and towns in which we operate.
DunkinÔ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchisees around the world generously support their
communities through sponsorships, product donations and volunteerism. This tradition of "giving
back" is an inherent part of the culture at both DunkinÔ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins. As evidence
of that, from 2011 through 2014, in the U.S. alone, our franchisees donated more than $20 million
to non-profit groups. Additionally, our franchisees in the U.S., along with DunkinÔ Brands, Inc., our
employees, restaurant crew members, vendors and customers, have joined together to support
non-profit organizations through The DunkinÔ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation
(DDBRCF).
Since its formation in 2006, The DDBRCF has awarded $8 million in grants to local charities in the
United States, and this past year was a record-breaking one for our Foundation. In addition to
raising an unprecedented $3.2 million in 2014, we launched our first national in-store fundraiser
and hosted a National Week of Service, which engaged nearly 1,500 employees, franchisees and
crew members in volunteer events at 50 food banks across the country. The DDBRCF also made
a $1 million, three-year grant — the single largest gift in our history as a Foundation — to Feeding
America¨ to help combat childhood hunger in this country.
The pace of our progress as a Foundation speaks to the remarkable partnership of our franchisees,
the corporation, employees, restaurant crew members, vendors and guests. By working together,
we have been able to contribute to numerous non-profit organizations across the country, and we
look forward to increasing these contributions in the future.
Our 2014 Neighborhood Action Report highlights both the work of The DunkinÔ Donuts BaskinRobbins Community Foundation as well as the work by individual franchisees to support the
communities we serve.
Sincerely,
Nigel Travis
Chairman and CEO, DunkinÔ Brands, Inc.

In 2014, The DDBRCF donated nearly
$1.5 million in support of non-profit
organizations across the country.
We also expanded our national

Local Chapter Giving
Our Regional Chapters funded 125 local organizations that support
hunger relief, children’s health and neighborhood safety.
“We were able to give several partial and full scholarships to
children who would never have been able to attend our school.
This is a huge benefit to families in the Greater Houston area that
have children with Down Syndrome and other developmental
disabilities.”
– JAN STAILEY, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, THE RISE SCHOOL OF HOUSTON
“He is enjoying the fun of being able to
move from place to place. I am proud
to see him experience this growth.”

HOSPITAL AFTER RECEIVING ZIPZAC WHEELCHAIR
FROM THE DDBRCF FUNDING
A local grant helped provide food and kitchen
equipment to the 200 hungry served weekly at
SarahÔs Kitchen of the Treasure Coast in Florida.
Provided 339 memberships to military
personnel and their families serving over 1,000
men, women and children at the YMCA of
Burlington and Camden Counties, New Jersey.
“The activity helps me deal with being
at the hospital because it’s something

that I can be happy to show someone
and take home and always remember

the memory.”
