The outstanding quality of EGGER particleboard, first produced in 1961 at the St. Johann plant in Austria, has been the key to the continued development of the EGGER group. EGGER JP F 0,3 (F****) BOARD is a chipboard with formaldehyde release on the lowest possible technica level – like natural wood. In combination with moisture resistance the particleboard meets the requirements for use in humid interior conditions and interior fitments in humid areas (e.g. bathroom, work surface) which follows the Australian standard AS/NZS 1859.1:2004 – class MR. Characteristics Unit Formaldehyde-reduced furniture chipboard Moisture-resistant based on AS/NZS 1859.1:2004 High strength middle layer Low swell values High surface delamination resistance Technical values: higher than the required standards Extremely low sand content (tool service lives) Can be processed cleanly without chipping More than 70 expressive decors available Board thickness [mm] > 8-12 Density [kg/m3] Plant specific > 12-22 > 22-33 > 33 Internal Bond strength [N/mm2] 0,35 0,30 0,25 0,20 Bending strength transverse [N/mm2] Modulus of elasticity [N/mm2] 13 13 10 9 Surface soundness [N/mm2] 0,9 0,9 0,9 0,9 Swelling in thickness 24 h [%] < 18 < 15 <12 <12 Screw holding strength (surface) [N] – Moisture content *1 [%] 5-13 Formaldehyde content *2 [class] F**** (0,3 mg/L) General Tolerances Unit Board thickness [mm] 8 - 38 Length and width tolerance EN 324 [mm] ± 5,0 Squareness EN 324 [mm/m] ≤ 2,0 Edge straightness tolerance EN 324 [mm/m] ≤ 1,5 Thickness tolerance EN 324 (Sanded boards) [mm] ± 0,3 Tolerance on the mean density within a board EN 323 [%] ± 10 Building physical properties Unit [mm] > 8 – 38 Board thickness Fire behaviour category Board thickness ≥ 9 mm and density ≥ 600 kg/m³ in line with EN 13986; Board thickness < 9 mm in line with EN 13986 D-s2, d0 E Water vapour diffusion resistance value µ moist 15 20 Mean density 600 kg/m3 Mean density 900 kg/m3 µ dry 50 50 Thermal conductivity EN 13986 Mean density 600 kg/m3 Mean density 900 kg/m3 W/(m*K) 0,12 0,18 Air sound insulation EN 13986 R = 13 x lg(m A) + 14 (m A = board surface weight kg/m2) EN 13986 EGGER responds to the trend of Green Building and goes one step ahead offering this innovative board with a reduced formaldehyde release in combination with a moisture resistant core board. EGGER omits the green dye in the core layer to create an even more natural chipboard. * PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) and / or FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Frequency range 250 Hz to 500 Hz 1000 Hz to 2000 Hz 0,10 0,25 Biological durability EN 13986 Protecting the environment begins with sustainable forestry Sustainable forestry is a top priority for EGGER. For the production of wood-based materials, EGGER only uses wood from forest thinnings and residual wood in selected quality from sawmills, as well as suitable recycled wood. Within the chain of custody, our plants are PEFC* and / or FSC*-certified depending on the availability of wood.
