We are honored to invite you to RMA’s 33rd Annual Conference on Securities Lending, the industry’s premier securities
lending conference. The conference will take place from October 10-13, 2016 at Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca
Raton, Florida. Join industry leaders like yourself from agent lenders, borrowers, beneficial owners, and hedge funds
and engage in forward-looking discussions on regulatory and market influences affecting our business. Additionally, the
conference gives you an unmatched opportunity to meet and network with your significant counterparties.
The conference steering committee has developed an extensive business program providing practical solutions to current
industry challenges you are facing designed to be immediately put into action. The steering committee as well as the
moderators and panelists are industry experts representing a wide range of experience. Take advantage of Tuesday’s
preconference sessions discussing the consequences of new regulatory, legal and capital reforms (including the DoddFrank Act, Basel III, and the FSB Shadow Banking Reform) as well as liquidity, financing, and balance sheet issues
affecting securities lending. Other scheduled sessions will debate issues relating to industry documentation, including
the ISDA Stay Protocol, data and transparency as well as operations and technology issues facing your institution.
To highlight this year’s conference, we are privileged to welcome two keynote speakers beginning with Anthony
Scaramucci, Founder and Co-Managing Partner of SkyBridge Capital on Wednesday, October 12. Thursday we will
welcome Glenn Booraem, Principal and Fund Controller at Vanguard.
Additional conference sessions will give you insight into money market reform, cash vs. noncash collateral, liquidity in
the fixed income market, prime brokers’ trade strategy, and changes in the value chain. The conference will conclude
with industry leaders debating the future of securities finance. We encourage you to attend these sessions and actively
participate in the discussions to promote dialogue, share ideas, and debate the challenges facing our industry.
Please take a moment to review the business program and information provided.
To make the most of your conference experience, join your peers as the conference opens with the Welcome to Boca

8:45–9:45 a.m. Prime Broker Participants and Trade
Strategy
9:00–9:45 a.m. Money Market Reform and the Impact
on Cash
Given the complexity of prime broker balance sheets: where they are
domiciled, how they are organized, and the message of their hedge fund
clients, what are their various trading strategies? Learn how these brokers
have incorporated the following approaches: total return swaps, single stock
futures, physical securities lending, and the pros and cons of each instrument.
Which is most desirable given the current market and regulatory pressure?
Where does each one fall short and what dictates the financing outcome?
This October, money market reform–including floating rate NAV, gates, and
fees–will be implemented. How will this impact the yield curve and liquidity,
and will the industry trend towards separately managed accounts? What will
agent lender’s resulting product mix be for their clients? How will this affect
the amount of liquidity in cash reinvestment pools, and what will be the
capital at risk for borrowers?
Moderator:
• Sean Dillon, Managing Director, State Street Global Advisors
9:45–10:30 a.m. Cash vs. Noncash Collateral Discussion
Regulation is giving way to new methods of collateralizing trades. So where
is this market headed? Learn about the rise of other noncash collateral, such
as ETFs, and what a portfolio of collateral will look like in the future. How
will it work operationally and what are areas of inefficiency and current
industry needs that should be addressed? What are some of the impacts on
capital and risk as the market settles, what about capital gains moving from
fixed income to floating, and how does this move affect other asset classes?

and Co-Managing Partner, SkyBridge Capital
12:00–1:00 p.m. Fixed Income Markets and Global Liquidity
Fed interest rate policy, regulations, money market reform, and geopolitical
risks have affected the structure of repo, treasuries, and the overall fixed
income market? What impact have these factors had on the supply and
demand for liquidity? What does this mean for central banks and their
ability to transmit monetary policy? How will this affect global liquidity?
Moderator:
• Alexander Blanchard, Head of US Repo, Goldman Sachs & Co Moderator:
• Tejash Patel, Managing Director, Morgan Stanley
9:45–10:45 a.m. Glenn Booraem, Principal & Fund

11:15–12:00 p.m. Changes to the Traditional Value Chain
As markets change, how are business models changing? Learn how the
industry is responding to recent trends, including peer-to-peer lending and
situations where prime brokers act like agents and where agents act like
prime brokers. Do different methods results in the same value proposition
for your client? If so, how does it impact borrowers from a capital
standpoint? What does this mean for agents with respect to regulatory
oversight, their relationships with beneficial owners, and indemnification?

• John Arnesen, Global Head Agency Lending, BNP Paribas 12:00–1:00 p.m. Current and Future State of Securities
Finance

The various regulations that are being implemented have begun to have a
profound impact on the securities lending market. While such regulations
represent a threat to long standing industry practices, those entities that
remain flexible and innovative will find new opportunities to prosper.
