• Decide on the purpose, schemes, and paper size
• Choose a layout and elements
• Create the publication

• Click the desired thumbnail in the New template
gallery to create a blank presentation in the
Publisher window

• Click the Page Size button (Page Design tab | Page
Setup group) to display the list of standard page
sizes and options for other sizes
• Click Create New Page Size at the bottom of the
list to display the Create New Page Size dialog box
• Type the desired name for the new page size
• Click the Layout type box arrow to display the list
of layouts
• Click the desired layout type

• Click the More button (Page Design tab | Schemes
group) to display the Colors Scheme gallery
• Click Create New Color Scheme in the Color Scheme
gallery to display the Create New Color Scheme
dialog box
• Type the desired color scheme name in the ‘Color
scheme name’ text box
• Select the desired colors using the New box arrows
• Click the Save button to save the new color scheme

• Click the Scheme Fonts button (Page Design tab |
Schemes group) to display the Scheme Fonts gallery
• Click Create New Font Scheme in the Scheme Fonts
gallery to display the Create New Font Scheme dialog

• Type the desired font scheme name in the ‘Font
scheme name’ text box
• Select the desired Heading font and Body font
• Click the Save button to save the new font scheme

Flipping a Picture
• With the picture selected, click the Rotate button on the
Picture Tools Format tab to display the Rotate gallery
• Click the desired Rotate command

display the cropping handles
• Drag the appropriate cropping handle inward to
crop the graphic
• Click the Crop button to hide the cropping

• Click the Wrap Text button (Picture Tools Format
tab | Arrange group) to display the text wrapping
options
• Click Edit Wrap Points to display the red, dashed
lines and wrap points
• Drag the appropriate red lines in to the desired
wrap point
• Click outside of the graphic to deselect it

• With the graphic selected, click the Recolor button
(Picture Tools Format tab | Adjust group) to display
the Recolor gallery
• Click More Variations to display the Recolor Picture
dialog box
• Click the Color box arrow to display the color gallery
• Select the desired color
• If desired, click the ‘Leave black parts black’ option
button to select it
• Click the OK button to close the Recolor Picture
dialog box

• With multiple objects selected, click the Group
button on the Picture Tools Format tab to group
the selected objects

box
• Navigate to the desired save location

• Click the Shapes button (Insert tab | Illustrations
group) to display the Shapes gallery
• Click the desired shape
• Move the mouse pointer into the publication and
then drag from the upper-left corner, at the
margin, to the lower-right corner to create the
selected shape

on the Drawing Tools Format tab to display the Shape

• If necessary, click the Gradient tab
• In the Colors area, click Two colors
• Click the Color 1 box arrow, and then click the desired
color
