Facility Rental Rules and Information
Rates – Weekday - $100 per hour with a two-hour minimum rental period. Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays $440 for up to four hours, each additional hour $60. Clean-up deposit - $150 (refundable per terms of contract)

The yurt has a capacity of approximately 40 seated guests. Tables and chairs will be set-up in advance of your event.
If the reservation is made within two weeks of the event date, payment is by cash or credit card only. Full payment is
due at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards apart from American Express. Checks should be made
payable to Shelby Farms Park Conservancy.
Additional hourly charges will be assessed for any event which does not conclude at the scheduled time.
Charges begin from when the facility is first used until the party leaves the facility and is to include set-up and clean-up
time.
The yurt is available for a minimum rental period of two hours during the week (M-F), and a minimum of four hours for
weekends and holidays.
The yurt is climate controlled; basic heat and air are supplied, but please remember that this is a temporary tent-like
structure, and not a permanent building.
Should you cancel within 30 days of the event, the deposit and 50% of the rental fee will be retained. Should you
cancel more than 30 days out from the event, the deposit will be retained, and the rental fee will be refunded.
There is a $25 fee for any returned checks.
There is no kitchen or sink. Only SFPC caterers permitted.
No alcohol permitted.
Open flames are not permitted in the yurt.
Smoking is not permitted in the yurt.
Parents or guardians are expected to monitor and control any minors during the event, and are responsible for any
damage caused to the facility.
No driving or parking is allowed on sidewalks or lawn area. Parking is available in the Woodland Discovery Playground
parking lot. Additional overflow parking is available across from the playground.

15. Nothing can be pinned, nailed or attached to the walls or lattice-work structure of the yurt. Please discuss any
decorating wishes with the Sales Manager.
16. You are responsible for clean-up. The yurt should be left in the same condition as you found it – basic cleaning supplies
are available in the janitor’s closet next to the bathrooms at the Woodland Discovery Playground. Items for trash and
recycling are to be taken to the garbage cans located next to the playground.
17. Return of your deposit is at the sole discretion of the attending Ranger/member of staff. You are expected to leave the
facility clean and undamaged. Please allow ten business days for the return of the deposit. Deposit refund is
contingent on the Ranger’s satisfaction with the condition of the following:Acceptable

Floors swept and mopped if necessary
Trash taken out to dumpsters
Walls – no tape, pins, marks, marks or damage
The undersigned organization or individual agrees that the Facility Rental Rules, and Basic Park Rules for Shelby Farms Park
shall form a part of this contract and shall apply to this scheduled event.
I have read, understood, and accepted the Facility Rental Rules, agree to abide by them, and understand that my deposit
may not be refunded if the above conditions are not met, and the Facility Rental Rules have not been followed.
