MISSIONS SUNDAY
It’s been a week of uncertainty with the election, and for us personally waiting to see if
the Visas for our ministry trip to Congo would be processed in time to catch our plane!
Well, we know the outcome of both of these now - the results of the election are known
and we did not go to Congo! It’s quite obvious that ‘the enemy’ tried to frustrate the
further establishing of our ministry in Congo - but we know God has a plan which will
open the door for us. Things can be uncertain from time to time for us all - but God is
reliable and has our best interests in His heart - so we can trust Him to work it out.
Ps Steve has a great message this morning called ‘believe the hype’ - it’s an interesting
look at the incredible claims of the Word of God. Read about it in a newspaper and we
would not believe it - read it in the Bible and we should believe it. Enjoy the Word today.

CITY WIDE PRAYER EVENT
Join in prayer with other Christians from across
our city this Friday/Saturday 16/17 June. We’re
involved with this 24hr Interchurch Prayer
Meeting to be held at St Catherine’s. Go and
pray for an hour or two anytime from 9pm on
Friday throughout the day Saturday - but plan to
be part of a united time of worship from 8-9pm
on Saturday. See Ps Wesley for more info - but
please let’s make sure Destiny folk are
enthusiastically joining together to pray for our
city - it’s a great opportunity to pray together.

MISSIONS SUNDAY
Our annual Missions Sunday is 16 July. You will
hear about our Missions work and also the
Malawi Mission Team trip in August. Please
prepare to give your annual Missions Offering on
that day. We are always so grateful for every
generous person who gives to enable our
ministry around the world. Your offering is a
blessing - to you as well as all the people and
churches we are able to help.
