PART ONE: TWO ANNOTATIONS SHEETS
You are required to read and annotate both Do Androids Dream of Electric
Sheep by Philip K. Dick and Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. Reading your
summer texts everyday for around 20-30 minutes per day will help you stay on
track to finishing. Annotating is a skill that requires you to think critically about
what you are reading, and will help you prepare for your essay. As you read each
novel, focus on how the characters interact and deal with technology and
science.
I will collect an annotations sheet for each novel. You must record at least 5 CDs
and 5 reflective CMs for each book, for a total of 10 annotations. These
annotations will be helpful as you may use them in your essay, which is Part Two
of the summer reading assignment. Fill out the sheets attached on the next
