“The decommissioning of Sellafield - the NDA’s number
one priority programme - is one of the greatest scientific
and engineering challenges facing the UK.”
Adrian Simper, NDA Strategy and Technology Director

An event, idea or procedure that effects
a significant shift in the current way of
doing or thinking.
The decommissioning of the Sellafield site is anticipated to take over
100 years and cost in excess of £50bn.
Decommissioning of the site creates challenges never encountered before
and requires investment in innovative technologies, concepts and methods.
Innovus, working in collaboration with Sellafield Ltd., are inviting proposals
for ‘Game Changers’ - new ideas and technologies which can reduce costs,
reduce risk and make operations safer whilst accelerating the safe delivery
of decommissioning.
Game Changers could also be technologies and methods which are already
used in other industries which could be developed for use in the nuclear
sector.
Innovus, working in collaboration with Sellafield Ltd., have funding for
proposals to support development of these technologies.
The Game Changers scheme is open to anyone who can help make a tangible
impact on decommissioning - from individuals, universities, SMEs to larger
organisations; wherever they are located.

WE VALUE YOUR INPUT
The Innovus Game Changer Scheme is your chance to bring your ideas
and technologies to the UK’s largest decommissioning cluster.
We appreciate that even at early concept stage, your ideas and time has
a value; that’s why you will receive a £5,000 grant to articulate
your idea with support and access to FIS360 and NNL expertise and
staff at Sellafield Ltd.
If successful, additional Proof of Concept funding is available for further
development through the Innovus Nuclear Technology Innovation Fund,
also sponsored by Sellafield Ltd.
All intellectual property rights stay with the proposer: neither
Sellafield Ltd. nor Innovus have any IP rights over your ideas and a
non-disclosure agreement is provided, pre-signed, up front to this effect.
We want proposals which clearly articulate the innovative technology
development needed to meet Sellafield’s decommissioning Challenges.
ANY QUESTIONS?
Need to know more? Get in touch and we’d be
happy to answer any futher questions.
