ABOUT THE FDP
This FDP aims to bring together leading academic scientists and researchers to exchange and share
their experiences and research results on all aspects
of Materials Engineering and Manufacturing. It also
provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for
researchers, practitioners and educators to present
and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and
concerns as well as practical challenges encountered
and solutions adopted in the fields of Materials Engineering and Manufacturing.
Materials Engineering or Materials Science is the
study of all the materials we see around us every
day. Materials Engineering or Materials Science
forms a bridge between the science and engineering. It allows theory to be put into practice in a way
which benefits everyone. Materials Science has been
pushed to the forefront of research and development
not only in universities but in industries as well. With
the planet’s resources being mined each day in order
to supply the growing demands of industrialization,
one major task of Materials Science is to revolutionize the manufacturing industry with the best materials that are sustainable. Manufacturing is a varied
and challenging field that is becoming increasingly
important with the advent of new production methods. Meanwhile, our modern society has entered the
era of knowledge and economy. The creation, production and dissemination of knowledge have an increasing impact on the advancement of the society.
This seminar definitely establishes a great model and
plays a role in collecting, building and fostering new
knowledge in the field of Materials Engineering and
Manufacturing.
