The Super Bowl Opening Night event on
Feb. 1 will be held at the SAP Center, which
is located just across the street from the
San Jose Diridon Station. Other events will
be accessible along the corridor throughout
the week.
In addition to Caltrain’s regular service,
Caltrain will be adding three special trips
to take Super Bowl customers to Mountain
View where they can connect with VTA’s
Light Rail service.

Caltrain customers can reach events and
activities in San Francisco using the 4th and

Customers must have valid fare before
boarding the train. Tickets are not sold onboard. Keep your ticket or validated Clipper
card handy to display to the conductor or
fare enforcement officer. Customers without
a valid fare may receive a citation and fine.
SPECIAL SUPER BOWL TICKET
Caltrain and VTA will be offering a special
joint Super Bowl Day Pass ticket for the
Super Bowl through its EventTIK app. This
ticket will replace the usual Caltrain/VTA
Day Pass available at ticket vending machines along the corridor.
Customers may purchase this joint ticket
using VTA’s mobile ticketing app any time
in advance of the game and will be required
to activate the ticket prior to boarding. The
ticket will only be sold via the mobile app
available on Android and iOS.

VTA will be operating a bus bridge for
customers who are not headed to the
Super Bowl.
Caltrain customers may use a regular Oneway, Day Pass, Clipper Card (8-ride Ticket,
Monthly Pass) or the joint mobile ticket
to travel to the Super Bowl but customers
transferring to VTA in Mountain View must
buy their ticket in advance using the mobile
app. Customers transferring to Light Rail
must also have proof of their Super Bowl
ticket in order to board VTA’s system.
How to Purchase Caltrain Tickets
Review the decal on the side of the machine
or use the Help button on the ticket
machine. Carefully read each screen before
pressing your options. Before you start
the purchase, make sure you know which
station and zone you are travelling to by
looking at the system map above the ticket
machine screen. Ticket machines don’t
accept international credit cards or pinauthorized debit cards. If you’re having
issues with your credit card, pay with cash.

NFL Bag Policy
The National Football League will strictly
enforce its bag policy on Super Bowl Sunday.
The NFL allows fans to carry clear plastic
or vinyl bags of no more than 12” x 6” x 12”
in size. No other bags will be allowed in the
stadium and there will be no lockers or bag
check area available at the Stadium.
Parking Fees
Caltrain parking fees and regulations are
enforced seven days a week. To address
parking demands on Super Bowl Sunday,
Caltrain will charge $20 to park in all
Caltrain operated lots along the rail corridor.
