Lap-belt adjustment
The lap-belt should sit comfortably across the waist, angled down towards the interface between the seat cushion and the back
cushion. The lap-belt should not be positioned high on the abdomen. The lab-belt should be adjusted to give a secure fit without
causing any discomfort to the occupant. If the lap-belt is too loose there is a risk of the occupant sliding underneath. This advice
should be adhered to with each use of the lap-belt.
Pelvic / harness adjustment.
Before each use ensure the pelvic positioning belt / harness is in a satisfactory condition and is adjusted correctly as demonstrated by
the Occupational Therapist at issue of the specialist chair.
