(Senior, S - Milford, Mass.) (Senior, P/K - Norridgewock, Maine) Starnes rushed 24 times for 111 yards (4.63 per carry), including touchdown runs of one yard and 30 yards in the Bantams’ 20-17 victory at Williams on Saturday afternoon. Starnes’ 30-yard touchdown run on a direct snap put Trinity in command of the game in the third quarter. Quinn had two interceptions for 19 yards and two solo tackles in the Bantams’ 20-17 win at Williams, which snapped the Ephs seven-game winning streak. On Williams’ first play from scrimmage, Quinn recorded his first pick before adding a second interception in the third quarter, which set up the game-winning drive two plays later. Gagne booted a personal-best 42-yard field goal and averaged 34.6 yards per punt over seven punts in the Mules’ 24-19 win against Middlebury. He went 3-for-3 in PAT attempts and 1-for-1 in field goal attempts. Notes: Amherst junior RB Aaron Rauh (Hudson, Ohio) led the Lord Jeffs’ running game with 121 yards on 25 carries (4.84 yards per carry) and a touchdown in a 31-24 win at Bowdoin. The Amherst backfield accumulated 278 yards and three rushing touchdowns in the victory. Junior ILB Mike Taylor (Evanston, Ill.) led his team with seven tackles (five solo), picked off a pass and broke up another. Sophomore K/P Matt Eberhart (Plano, Texas) was 4-for-4 on PAT attempts and hit a 24-yard field goal in his only attempt of the game. He also had three punts that totaled 101 yards...Bates senior FB Ryan Mullin (Duxbury, Mass.) scored his first career touchdown on a one-yard plunge. He also set a career high for carries with three and also caught a 15-yard pass in the Bobcats’ 34-7 loss at Tufts. Junior DB Bill Jennings (Marshfield, Mass.) had two interceptions, broke up a pass, and made one tackle for a loss in Bates’ loss. Sophomore DB Chris Burke (Andover, Mass.) blocked a Tufts punt to set up the Bobcats on the Jumbos’ 20 in the third quarter...Bowdoin QB Oliver Kell (Westford, Mass.) went 20-for-37 for 202 yards passing and three touchdowns on Saturday in a 31-24 setback to Amherst. Linebacker Kevin Zikaras (Milford, Conn.) led the Polar Bear defense on Saturday with 14 tackles and also set up the team’s first score with an interception which he returned 31 yards into Amherst territory. Freshman RB/KR Ian Vieira (Plymouth, Mass.) returned five kicks for 127 yards (25.4 yards per return), including a 62-yard return in the third quarter that set up a Polar Bear touchdown...Colby sophomore QB Patrick Burns (Charles Town, W. Va.) tossed three touchdown passes and was 11-for-21 for 92 yards with no interceptions in the Mules’ 24-19 win over Middlebury on Saturday. Burns had scoring passes of 21, five and three yards. Senior DB Chris Copeland (Rexford, N.Y.) led his squad in tackles for the second straight week with 11 tackles, including 10 solo stops, and had one pass break-up in the Mules victory. Copeland has 19 tackles (15 solo) and one interception through two games...Hamilton freshman QB Jordan Eck (Rye, N.Y.) completed 18-of-30 passes for 207 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in his first career start, a 17-7 victory at Wesleyan on Sunday. Eck threw touchdown strikes of four and 55 yards. Freshman DB Ted Finan (New Canaan, Conn.) intercepted the first two passes of his career in the Continentals’ 17-7 win. He also returned a put 40 yards which eventually led to a Hamilton touchdown. Sophomore K/P George Taylor (Pleasantville, N.Y.) went 2-for-2 on PAT attempts and 1-for-2 on field goals in Sunday’s win. He also punted seven times for an average of 37.4 yards...Middlebury senior WR Andrew Matson (Coventry, R.I.) caught 10 passes for a career-high 177 yards in the Panthers’ 24-19 setback at Colby on Saturday. He had a touchdown reception of eight yards and a long catch of 45 yards. Eric Kamback (Mahwah, N.J.) made 14 tackles, including 1.5 for lost yardage, in the Panthers’ loss...Tufts junior QB Anthony Fucillo (Winthrop, Mass.) led the Jumbos to a 27-0 halftime lead and eventual 34-7 victory over Bates on Saturday. He finished the game going 9-for-13 for 195 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 21.7 yards per completion. The Tufts defense allowed Bates just 68 total yards on its first 11 possessions through three quarters. Junior Tom Tassinari (North Andover, Mass.) returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown late in the first half...Wesleyan freshman QB Blake DuBois completed 18-of-39 passes for 264 yards in the Cardinals 17-7 loss to Hamilton. Eight of his 18 passes went to senior Ryan Walsh (Milton, Mass.), good for 136 yards. Freshman safety Cameron Davila (Yorba Linda, Calif.) made a game-high 15 tackles in his first start on Sunday.
