Raw Texture - State Beauty Supply

Raw Texture: On our model, large setting rollers were placed in a condensed pattern to
encourage the straight hair to move softly around her face. This look produces an end
result that is both polished and casual. It provides an inspirational combination of
textures, enabling the creation of a multitude of designs.
Before
Step 1
Texture Formula
Use any of the Option series that is appropriate
for the client's hair type.
Part hair on
side and
section
diagonally
from 3
inches back
to eye on
opposite
side at
hairline.
Secure both
subsections.
Divide
evenly in
same
manner on
opposite
side.
Step 2
Starting at
part, carve
an "X" onto
back part of
head,
creating
four
sections.
Separate
nape into
three
sections.
Step 3
Taking top
section,
overdirect
hair down
and toward
the opposite
eye. Place
off-base and
secure with
roller pin.
Moving to
the next
section at
side,
overdirect
toward the
hairline but
place roller
on top of
section and
wind back.
Repeat on
opposite
side.
Because it is
a smaller
section,
there will be
less
overdirectio
n at top
roller.
Step 4
Working
from "X"
section at
crown, roll
top and
bottom
rollers
horizontally
and directed
down. At
each side,
roll
vertically
toward the
hairline. All
tools at nape
are rolled
down and
secured.
Texture
Tip
Use
stabilizer
picks to
keep hair on
center of
roller. Rinse
hair with
light to
medium
water
pressure,
depending
on density
of hair and
size of tool.
This will
help to keep
hair in place
on tool
while
rinsing.
Metal roller
pins or clips
can be used
with all ISO
waves. Just
make sure
to insert
tools in
back of
roller, away
from
hairline, to
avoid
making a
separation
in front of
the hairline.

Raw Color: For this color technique, sun-kissed golden toffee hues were created with
deep tones of rich chocolate. This is an artisan look that is refined but definitely has an
authentic, natural touch. The look is designed from slices and a triangle parting.
