Update – 2015-01-26 – category of specialty services.
Update – 2015-09-24 – on 1 September 2015, TÉLÉTOON Rétro became Disney la Chaîne and TELETOON Retro
became Cartoon Network. On the same day, Corus also launched the exempt specialty Category B service Disney
Channel.
CRTC 2015-451 – revokes the licence for Cartoon Network approved in CRTC 2011-687. TELETOON Retro has taken
over the name of Cartoon Network.
CRTC 2016-110 – approved a multi-step corporate reorganization resulting in the transfer of all of the shares held by
Shaw Communications Inc. (Shaw) in Shaw Media Inc. to Corus Entertainment Inc., or one of its subsidiaries.
Note: The transaction was completed on 1 April 2016 and has been reflected.
Update – 2016-04-21 – Movie Central and Encore Avenue ceased operation on 1 March 2016.
CRTC 2016-350 – revocation of the licence issued to Movie Central Inc. for the pay television Category A service Movie
Central.
CRTC 2016-351 – revocation of the licence issued to Encore Avenue Ltd. For the pay television Category A service
Encore Avenue.
Update – 2017-02-13 – the specialty service W Movies rebranded as Cooking Channel.
Update – 2017-04-05 – of 7202377 Canada Inc.’s shareholding.
