Wanna Be a Better Beader?
Leah (Duperreault) Allison has been working with glass since she began making beads in
2002. Fascinated by glass and the different disciplines of glasswork, Leah pursued more
ways of working with her chosen medium. Flameworking, (soft and borosilicate glass),
off-hand glassblowing, cold working and sand casting are some of the ways that she
works with glass. Leah is also a jewelry maker, incorporating various techniques and
materials with her glass pieces: including loom work and metalsmithing.
Leah’s work focuses on clean lines, striking colour combinations and functional beauty.
She is constantly exploring new ideas for her work in glass and jewelry.
