Why is the bank changing its name?
To eliminate confusion and distinguish us from hundreds of similarly named banks. It also helps to unify
our identity. Instead of using both the Citizens Bank and Champaign Bank names, our new name
simplifies how people refer to us. In addition to the Bank name change, our wealth management and
investment lines of business will also carry the Civista Name – Civista Wealth Management and
Civista Investments.
What does Civista mean?
Civista is a unique term created from the words “civic,” or community, “Citizens,” our heritage, and
“vista,” meaning view. Together, they form an ideal name that highlights our dedication to community
and our focus on customers just like you.
Has the bank been purchased?
No. The bank is still owned, managed, and operated by the same local people you have come to know
and trust.
Is my account going to change?
No. Your account will stay exactly the same. All direct deposits and automatic transfers will continue as
before, and you don’t have to change a thing. Your account number and the bank’s routing number
remain the same.
Will I have to replace my existing checks?
No. You can keep using your current checks. When you reorder checks through the bank, they will
feature our new name and logo. If you order checks elsewhere, let the company know about the name
change.
Will my debit card or ATM card be replaced?
Not right now. Please continue using your current debit or ATM card. As we enhance card security
technology later this year, we expect to reissue cards in the 4th quarter of 2015, or upon your card
expiration date.
Will my online banking credentials need to be changed?
No. Feel free to log in with the same credentials you’ve been using.
Will there be any changes to my cbchoicerewards account?
No. You can still redeem your debit card rewards points and monitor your account
at cbchoicerewards.com.
Are bank hours changing?
No. Our convenient banking hours are the same.
Will new offices be added?
We’re not adding offices, but we are currently acquiring a bank with three offices in Dayton, Ohio.
Once the purchase is complete, you’ll be able to bank and use your ATM card in the Dayton area as well.
