Here are the learning targets for the week of December 19th – 22nd:
READING:
I can understand figurative language and analogies.
ENGLISH:
I can speak with expression and fluency.
I can type my final draft. Final draft due Thursday.
SPELLING:
I can write and apply the following new core words correctly: understand, moon, animals, mind, &
outside
MATH:
I can begin a fraction unit by piloting the Everyday Math program.
SOCIAL STUDIES:

I can describe and give examples of potential and kinetic energy.
I can describe static electricity.
I can do experiments on electricity: creating different types of circuits and do tests on conductors
and insulators. – test December 21st

 We will have an awards assembly on January 27th at 9:45 a.m. Allison, Dylan,
Brooklyn, and JeryMyla will be recognized.
Our Holiday Sing Along will be on December 21st at 2:15 p.m. with the party following at
3:00 p.m.
 We will have a three-hour Early Dismissal on December 22nd.
 Winter Break is December 23rd- January 2nd.
