Destination: Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D. C.
Field Trip Objective: Students will identify how the definition of America has changed over the years.
Lunch: bring a bag lunch to eat on the buses
Teachers: 8th Grade Team

Departure Time: 10am
Time of Return: 2:30pm
Transportation Provider: Dillon’s Bus Service
Cost of Trip: $16 If the student is unable to afford this trip, please return this form with letter from a
guardian requesting a scholarship.
Permission Slip and Payment Due By: Friday, March 9, 2012
Permission Slips and Payment will be accepted before school in Room 121 or during 8th grade lunch the
week of March 5th.
Students who hold the student accident policy, available at the beginning of each school year or at the time of entry, are covered on an approved field trip
within the liability limits of the policy as described in the insurance brochure. The Montgomery County Board of Education maintains public school
bus liability insurance within the limit required by the Maryland State Department of Education. Parents may want to consider additional coverage in
excess of the above-stated limits.
