The impact of this material on the environment is extremely
low. Manifattura Maiano transforms the fibers obtained from
processing scraps from nearby industries in the textile district
of Prato and from recycled textile products that have reached
the end of their life cycle into thermal and acoustic insulating
panels.
The manufacturing process, too, is highly eco-friendly,
because the raw materials, after having been sterilized at
180°, are processed without the use of water, chemical
products or binders. The product is 100% recyclable at the end
of its life cycle.

RECYCLETHERM Km0 is an awarded hi-tech product,
born on the basis of a comparative LCA that has made
it possible to innovate the manufacturing process behind
RecycleTherm. By getting a number of local key players
around city of Prato involved (the textile industries and local
waste management company), a supply chain was started
that has allowed Manifattura Maiano to increase recycled
material content from 85% to 100% and to procure the raw
material within a radius of no more than 15 km from its
manufacturing facilities. Thus is born RecycleTherm Km0,
an insulating material with a short supply chain and with an
incredibly low impact on the environment.
