Document Number 9000-A2-GN1M-00
August 1999
The Shelf Mounting Kit is designed to hold one or two 1-slot (standalone) access units
securely in place in a standard-size (19-inch) equipment rack. The shelf is 19 inches
wide, 20 1/2 inches deep, and occupies 5 1/4 inches of panel space. Mounting in a
23-inch wide rack requires adapter plates.
The shelf incorporates a cantilever design. The access units are secured by the front
panel, held in by a combination of two tabs on the top of the shelf and a latching,
U-shaped bend at the bottom, and by an installed bracket at the rear. The shelf also
includes two compartments at the rear, each designed to hold a standard ac/dc power
converter.
Before You Begin
Before you start your installation, be sure you have a medium-size Phillips screwdriver.
No other tools are required.
