WOLF also serves as Flagship of WHALE Center’s Waves Navy and is home ported
in Key West, Florida Keys. Over the years 1st Sea Lord of the Conch Republic, ADM
Finbar Gittelman and wife Julie McEnroe (aka Blossom) have sailed WOLF to
island communities including Haiti, Jamaica, Honduras & the Bahamas… bringing
tons of donated relief cargo to those in need.

Region and Gulf Coast states, focusing on Sustainability, Disaster Reduction, and

Hot Cuban Classic Piano & Latin Jazz
Ignacio "Nachito" Herrera stunned Cuban audiences at the age of twelve in
performing "Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 2" with the Havana Symphony
Orchestra. In the late 1990's, Nachito joined the famed Cuban Orquestra
"Cubanismo" as its pianist, musical director and arranger. With its world wide
appeal, "Cubanismo" performed at many of the world’s finest concert halls and
prestigious festivals throughout Europe, Far East, Canada, Central and South
America and the United States.
"Explosive. Crowd Pleasing. Rhythmically intense. Romantic. Dynamic. Jawdroppingly good" is how the Minneapolis Star-Tribune described Herrera's
musicianship and creativity, a talent which, according to jazz critic and Playboy
Guide to Jazz author Neil Tesser, "...vaults him into the upper echelon - a trinity
comprising Chucho Valdes, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and now Nachito Herrera".
After his 2009 tour as a member of The Afro Cuban All Stars, Nachito now tours
on his own or with the accompaniment of musicians of his choosing.
Now residing in Minnesota, Nachito is a recipient of the prestigious 2014
Immigrant of Distinction Award, 2012 AILI Minnesota/Dakota Chapter American
Heritage Awards, as well as Grammys & Emmys. He and wife Aurora founded the
Nachito Herrera Foundation (NHF) in 2014 to Nachito Herrera Foundation is an
agent of change that bridges the differences between peoples and cultures
through music.

Schooner WOLF Waves of Change Inaugural CUBA Voyage (DEC 2015) will be
captured on film by Florida film maker John Biffar, Dreamtime Entertainment.
John joins Nachito and WOLF’s master, ADM Finbar, 1st Sea Lord of the Conch
Republic on this historic sail aboard Finbar’s traditionally rigged schooner WOLF.
A documentary of the Voyage, featuring footage of live performances and jam
sessions (on land & at sea… including the sail to Havana and on Day Sails & Sunset
Cruises in Havana Harbour.) This documentary, along with CDs & DVDs of each
voyage, will showcase highlights from each Schooner WOLF NHF Voyage.
