2016 House Boat Trip Information

HOUSEBOAT TRIP INFORMATION 2016
Please return your Trip Confirmation ASAP. We must have it at least 2 weeks prior to your trip so we can schedule our
people. Your turn-around fees are due prior to your trip. Launch times will be given to those with fees paid first.
1. We are again allowing owners to stay on the houseboat in our yard the night before (at your own risk, of
course). We are back in our original yard at 612 Haul Road. We have allowed you in our yard at 7:00 in the
past. We are going to try and move this up to 6:00 pm this year. We will make every effort to have the yard
opened at 6:00, but please be patient if circumstances delay the opening.
2. We will be offering shuttle service to the launch ramp for you and your group, so you may leave your vehicles in
our yard. Please park your vehicles in the center of the yard. The houseboats will be parked around the exterior
of the yard. (Note: LakeTime, LLC and Houseboat Management Services, Inc assume no liability for any theft or
damage to vehicles and trailers left in our yard) You will still be liable for park entrance fees for your party.
3. Lake Powell is listed as an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) body of water. You do NOT have to have your boat
inspected prior to entering Lake Powell, but there are special requirements when you pull your boat from Lake
Powell. The rules are different depending on where you are transporting your boat after you leave Lake Powell.
EVERYONE will need to remove plugs and drain all water prior to leaving the ramp. Because of the liability
associated with those transporting boats from Lake Powell, we are no longer offering personal power boat
launch and retrieve service to anyone other than those that have their personal boats in our storage facility.
4. The Park Service has asked us to remind you of the following:
 Swimming is not allowed in the marina areas due to safety issues.
 Drones are not allowed in the Park.
 They will be looking for anchor stakes drilled in the rock and enforcing the rules with regards to
this.
 Defacing the rock is illegal. Please inform everyone in your party to refrain from writing on the
rock.
5. There is a return time posted on the Good to Go sheet. Please have the boat at the Marina at your posted time
or you will be charged a late fee of $250 per hour. If you wish to come in earlier than the scheduled time it is
imperative that you make prior arrangements. We are required to report to ADOT which trucks are hauling
which boats; when boats show up unexpectedly it requires us to make emergency permit changes.
6. The earlier yard opening is going to require your cooperation in getting out of the yard on a timely basis when
you return from your trip. Please try to leave the boat within ½ hour after arriving back at the yard. Cleaning
service does not include washing & drying dishes – please make sure dishes are clean and put away or you will
be charged extra.
7. The Owner’s Inspection Sheet is mandatory. If you do not complete it we will charge you $100 to have our crew
do the inspection. Once again, in order to get the yard opened early we need your cooperation.
8. Many owners would like to leave a gratuity for the services. Since many of our staff who are rendering these
services are never seen by the owners, we request that all gratuities be given to the Office, Bill West or Josh
Thompson so they may be distributed accordingly. If there is any one person that you feel gave you extra
special service, please let us know.
Above all else we want you to have a safe and happy houseboat vacation. Let us know if you have any
questions.
