On Monday 6 February, we held a Jumble Sale in school in order to raise money for Water
Aid – an international charity that helps to transform lives by improving access to safe water,
hygiene and sanitation. Two of our School Council members Thomas (Yr2) and Alexa (Y1)
spoke very passionately at the beginning of the academic year about wanting to help people
and children who currently do not have access to clean water and how poorly this can make
them. It was therefore decided, after consultation with the rest of the School, that we would
sell unwanted or no longer used toys at a Jumble Sale.
We are delighted to inform you
that we raised a grand total of £330.00. We would like to thank everyone who donated and
purchased the toys.
