EHA Member Comments Thank you so much for the program! I have tried different weight loss programs, and nutritional programs and I have really never been able to stick to those programs. This wellness program really made me accountable, and I have stuck to it. I have lost some weight since being on this program. I am a tiny person so I really don't notice it on myself, but others have noticed. We have gotten comments on how good we look (wellness buddy)! Also, being able to add my husband as a wellness buddy has been great! My goal weight is 154 to have a healthy BMI. I have been eating healthy, counting calories, and doing jazzercise. My husband and I have changed our eating habits and are eating less red meat and white carbs. This EHA program is a huge incentive that helps as well. Thank you for all you do! This made my teaching better throughout the month as well! I had a great amount of energy after consuming a healthy snack compared to a sugary snack. Thanks for the snack box as well! Made it easy to limit portions and fill with healthy ideas. This was actually the most difficult monthly challenge in which I've participated. I don't snack much so trying to fit in a healthy snack was a new behavior. I'm still working to incorporate this new behavior into my daily routine. I'm not there yet, but the Snack Attack challenge certainly helped me think about what I'm eating when I do snack. This program changed my life I am eating healthier every day because of the snack container. I carry it filled with vegetables every day in my purse. I have notice a drop in body weight and my overall health is a lot better, more energetic. I am very happy I tried this challenge it has become a part of my daily routine. Also when my kids see me eating the vegetables they will sit down beside me and start eating them too. This challenge has not only been beneficial to me but to my family as well. I knew I needed to lose weight and start eating healthier again. At the end of the month, after following your program, I went back to the doctor, and had perfect labs and a loss of 10 lbs. Making healthy snacks for my son as well as myself so we don't turn to the chip bag. I found myself not really wanting a lot of junk snacks. I found myself going to the healthier choices. Every once in a while it was nice to have a little junk but found myself not having as much as I used to. Sometimes it’s nice to have that taste. I found that by making sure I had a healthy snack in the morning and afternoon that I had less cravings for unhealthy food and didn't overeat at meal times. I would prepare healthy snacks ahead of time or have healthier snacks on hand. Loved the container! I found that when I planned my snacks and brought them to work, I didn't reach for something unhealthy. Because of this program, I feel accountable for planning and adopting new habits! I felt this program was very healthy and I enjoyed many of the recipes. I was very pleased with my success with the program. I attend Weight Watchers, so I already have a good understanding of smart snacks. This program helped me stay on track. I do not need to lose weight, but I am concerned about remaining healthy. These emails and programs are reminders of what I need to do. Very good recipes were presented, and the regular e-mails kept me mindful of snack options outside my usual trip to the vending machine! I have always tried to have healthy snacks but having accountability helps keep you on track Six years ago I changed my diet to eliminate the junk food. I only allow myself junk food once or twice a month - like at a friend's house. Although I only lost 3 pounds, I am watching what and how much goes into my mouth. I was glad your recipes gave a calorie count, and I take my container every day to work. This challenge went right in line with the weight loss plan that I am on. It was a very good program, I thought it would be hard but it wasn't. I had a some other health problems, or I would have lost more. I overate on the fruits. They were so good. I have been on an exercise/weight loss program since June 2015. The best parts of the Snack Attack for me were the cool container and the snack/recipe suggestions. I really enjoyed my snack container. It sounds silly, but it was a good reminder that I could and should try something healthy. I noticed I could not adhere to the program on Friday, because, well, it's Friday. Since I'm on diabetic diet, this challenge was pretty easy to follow. Did make me stick to my snacks a bit better. What the program did was help me be aware of sugars again without having to count calories - I didn't cut candy out but I certainly reduced what I had previously been eating and I made myself eat my healthy snack first which helped me realized I was hungry not necessarily needing sugar! I have cut way back on my Snicker's Candy bars and drinking pop. I really loved the snack suggestions and recipes. Most of them were quick and easy ideas - even my kids wanted to try some of them! Thank you! The program keeps me thinking about behavior. I found that I have been better at portion control on vegetables and fruitbeing able to monitor myself using my snack container. The suggestions for a variety of healthy snacks were helpful. My go to quick snacks included a half banana with peanut butter, carrot chips with humus or dried apricots with a few unsalted almonds. It is difficult to be satisfied with foods I was not used to. I boiled eggs and found they became old and tossed them out. It is a matter of planning ahead and using the foods you know you will eat. Loved he snack container as it was the perfect sized and really helped me eat healthier snacks. Before, I never had the time to find that perfect sized container for healthy snacks and it was just easier to grab a processed snack. Feeling good! This program was a great jump start for me! Good program - the email reminders were excellent in keeping me consistent. Loved this one! FYI I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in June of 2013. I am not currently on any MS meds. I changed my way of eating in April of 2013 after my neurologist suspected MS. Following the PALEO life style/way of eating has made a tremendous difference in my health and many of my symptoms have decreased or disappeared!! I thank God for this and would encourage anyone to give PALEO a try and see what a difference it makes in your health/life. :O) In relation to my journey with MS and the overwhelming positive impact that Paleo has made in my health, I forgot to mention that I unintentionally lost weight and went from a size 8 to a size 4. I am still a size 4... 2 1/2 years later. :) I have stopped eating junk food, and am eating slower and enjoying my food. Taking in a lot more vegetables and fruit than before. Thank you. It is just difficult to find the time to consistently add healthy components to life. I began this program and ended up having surgery. I ate much healthier, but was unable to complete the program fully! It was a great starter program for surgery. Outside of Halloween I did very well.
