Planted by the Hattiesburg Area Daylily Society, and supported by the City of Petal to honor the life of Truman Roberts, long-time resident and businessman of Petal. He was enthusiastic and dedicated to growing daylilies and The Hattiesburg Area Daylily Society. Directions: Enter Petal from Hwy. 11. Drive to the intersection where Hardee’s is on the left. Turn right, and the Civic Center is on your right several blocks ahead. Enter Petal from Hattiesburg River Avenue, cross Leaf River and continue into Petal. The Civic Center will be on your left. LAKE TERRACE CONVENTION CENTER – Open Daily - Directions: The Lake Terrace Convention Center is located on Hwy. 49 just north of Hattiesburg, just before you go under the Interstate. Going north out of Hattiesburg, it is on the right just after you pass McDonalds on the left. Turn to the right at the traffic signal, and go to the left. The Gardens At OLLI are the spacious gardens surrounding a small lake and the Peck House, the headquarters for the Osher Lifelong Institute at The University of Southern Mississippi. OLLI offers men and women the opportunity for stimulating learning experiences, while developing new friendships. All offerings are designed for individuals 50 or older and are presented by experts in the field, professionals, community volunteers and OLLI members.
