The long hot summer meant that our annual
March trip to Wenderholm was sure to be a
success. And it was! With blue skies and a warm
day, we enjoyed walks, picnics, games and
swims. Everyone brought delicious food to
share amongst friends and the children enjoyed
playing in the sand and climbing over rocks.
Some parents found shady trees to rest under,
while others explored the grounds of the
historic house. Stacey Wilcox from Watersafe
came for the day and played games with the
adults and children. David - our sports
instructor this year, got everyone to join in
team sports and skipping. A fun game of ‘ring a
ring o’ roses’ got everyone going! By 2pm it was
time to go home – as usual, tired but happy!
But the beach is as
beautiful as ever.
Off we go!
Getting off the bus is
always a busy time.
Time to catch up with friends and
family.
And time to enjoy the water
and the sand…
…before enjoying lunch
And then it was time for sports with
David and Stacey – by the end of the
day everyone was joining in.
The bus drivers had a
lovely day…
So did the children…
And so did we all!
