Battle
of the
Bands
The Warrenville Park
District’s Battle of the
Bands competition serves
as a showcase for teenage
musicians. Bands perform on
the Main Stage at the Summer
Daze Festival in front of an
audience. The winner
advances to a 2013 IPRA regional competition with a chance to perform
at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

performs Chicago’s hits and presents a thrilling multi-media show, complete
with choreographed video, dazzling lighting effects, live video feeds, and
nostalgic audio clips.

Mike and Joe
Mike and Joe: yes, two guys’ names, four
people in the band. Mike and Joe is a
cover band based out of Indianapolis
and playing in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa,
Wisconsin, and from time to time, in Ohio.
The group plays modern rock/alternative
music but throws in some 80s and even a
70s tune or two.

8:00 A.M. Car Show - Registration
10:00 A.M.-3:30 P.M. - Car Show
Organized by Countryside Customs
Locally-owned Countryside Customs will bring
high energy to one of the event’s favorite
attractions-the Car Show. The Car Show will be
held on August 4, 2012 from 10:00am-3:30pm
with awards announced at 3:30pm. The event
will be sponsored by Countryside Customs.
There will be 23 classes with 3 awards in
each class. In addition there will be
7 Best of Awards.
3:30-5:00 P.M. Centerfold
A mainstay of Chicago rock and roll during
the late 70s, Centerfold Band was a local
suburban favorite appearing in every music
venue and festival in the area. Whether
opening for national acts in Chicago or
bringing down the house at Beginnings
Nightclub in Schaumburg, they played with the energy level of a freight train.
Cranking out those great 70s and 80s hits with the energy that made them
famous, Centerfold is a guaranteed crowd pleaser.

presents a morning of dancers performing

theatre, hip hop, and poms. Dancers ages 3 to

more fun with your friends at Radio Disney.
Denny Diamond & The
Family Jewels are an
accomplished family
trio who have delighted
audiences across the
nation. They perform
the music of one of
America’s favorite
singer/songwriters, Neil Diamond, mixing in songs made famous by artists like
Johnny Cash, Roger Miller, Dean Martin, and countless others. Then the band
adds some original music, creating a recipe for a performance to compliment
any lunch or dinner show, theater show, benefit, festival or corporate event.
The show has been described as “the Jonas Brothers with a hint of the
Smothers Brothers and their dad.” It’s a fun family show that includes lots of
audience interaction, toe tapping, singing, and smiling.

Noon-10 P.M. Carnival Rides
Jin & Tonic is a full 7-piece country band unlike
anything you have heard before, combining the
power of vocals and amazing musicianship. What
gives them their unique and distinctive sound is
their incredible three-part harmonies. JTB has
shared the stage with some of the biggest names
in country music today, including Lady Antebellum
and The Band Perry.
1:00-3:00 P.M. Remote Broadcast 95.9 The River
1:30-3:00 P.M. Tropixplosion
Tropixplosion is a Caribbean show band that
features steel drums, incredible percussion, great
vocals, Blue Man-style performance pieces, and
more high-energy fun. In essence, the ultimate
island party. But much more than the standard
steel drum band, Tropixplosion plays an amazing
variety of music as well – not only your tropical
favorites, but many reggae classics and pop/rock
party songs re-arranged to feel like the islands.
New hits, classic rockers, and many other
surprises: all are performed with an exotic twist.
9:30-11:30 P.M. Hairbanger’s Ball
Living up to its name, Hairbanger’s Ball delivers
uncanny live renditions of legendary 80s hair rock
bands like Poison, Def Leppard, Guns N’ Roses,
Motley Crue, Van Halen and Bon Jovi, just to name
a few. Hairbanger’s Ball is a chronic party on
maximum overdrive that is sure to please fans of
all ages!
