Magnesium (Mg): Magnesium is the cornerstone of the chlorophyll molecule.
Without this essential nutrient, the formation of the chlorophyll molecule cannot
occur. Magnesium is used to help regulate the uptake of other plant nutrients, is
a carrier of phosphorus within the plant, assists in protein production, aids in
phosphate metabolism, and is essential for chlorophyll production.
Manganese (Mn): Manganese increases the availability of calcium, magnesium,
and phosphorus, aids in photosynthesis and in the synthesis of chlorophyll. The
availability of manganese to the plant is adversely affected by high pH soils, so
True Foliar® applications can provide an immediate and lasting response.
Silica (Si): While Si has not been proven to be essential for turf, it has been
demonstrated that Si is beneficial in a number of important ways:
• Increases photosynthetic capacity and chlorophyll content
• Increases disease resistance
• Stimulates anti-oxidant activity
• Improves wear tolerance
• Increases turgidity for recovery and better quality of cut
